La band inglese torna così in scena a ben nove anni di distanza dal precedente Anthems for Doomed Youth (che ha debuttato alla #3 degli album più venduti in UK), con cui ha confermato a fan e critica sia inglesi che del resto del mondo il talento cristallino dei due frontman Pete Doherty e Carl Barat. L’album è stato anciticipato dai singoli “Run run run” (entrato in Top 100 della classifica radio italiana), “Night of the hunter”, “Shiver” e “Oh shit”.
